Terms of Service
1. About the Service
Wizard Spellbook ("the Service") is a cross-platform TTRPG campaign management application operated by Federico Papaianni ("we", "us"). The Service is currently in closed beta and is provided on an invitation-only basis. Features, interfaces, and availability may change at any time without prior notice.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Service immediately.
3. Beta Program
The Service is provided as a beta version for testing and evaluation purposes. You acknowledge that:
- The Service may contain bugs, errors, or incomplete features
- Data loss may occur — we recommend keeping backups of important content
- We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the beta at any time
- Access to the beta may be revoked at our discretion
4. Account and Access
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Share your beta access credentials with others
- Use automated systems to access the Service without permission
6. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all content you create within the Service (campaigns, characters, locations, notes, etc.). We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your content. We will not access, use, or share your content except as necessary to operate and improve the Service.
7. AI Features and Third-Party API Keys
The Service offers AI-powered features using a bring-your-own-key (BYOK) model. You provide your own API key from a third-party AI provider. You acknowledge that:
- You are solely responsible for any costs incurred through your API key
- Your use of third-party AI services is subject to that provider's terms
- We have no control over the output generated by third-party AI models
- We do not store or have access to your API key beyond what is necessary to make requests on your behalf
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of Federico Papaianni and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or branding.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim (which, during the free beta, is zero).
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. We will make reasonable efforts to allow you to export your content before deletion, where feasible.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the latest revision. For material changes, we will notify registered users by email. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy and the European Union. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the use of the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Italy.
